Andy Heard is the President of Novak Commercial Development and Partner in Novak Brothers and in this role will lead new development and acquisition strategies across a variety of commercial property types. Andy comes to Novak Brothers with more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry having spent the last 13 years with Hines Interests where he was most recently the Managing Director and City Leader for the Austin/San Antonio markets.

Over his career, Andy has held roles in all aspects of development, acquisition, and asset management with his primary focus on pursuing and executing new development opportunities. He has been involved in transactions totaling more than $550M and 3.0M square feet of product covering office, retail, multi-family, condominium, industrial, and hospitality uses. It was over the course of the most recent project completion, The Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center, where Andy was initially introduced to Jeff and Jack Novak as their joint venture partner. A friendship ensued and the evolution of that relationship led to Andy joining Novak Brothers in 2017.

Andy holds an MBA from Rice University and a BBA in Real Estate Finance from SMU and lives in Austin with his wife and three children.
